HAPPY KNITTING---I MEAN HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope your year has gotten off to a good start. Mine was quite restful and delightful at my sister's in Coeur d'Alene, ID. She had a few days off and I had a chance for lots of rest, peace, quiet and......KNITTING! :) I had quite a few projects that I had started, or nearly started, at various times in the past so I took them all with me and it "felt" great to get some of them finished.

I returned to my field yesterday and we had our first gospel meeting today. It was so good to see all the friends again PLUS we had our contacts out as well as a new couple! The new couple are from Chile. They have been to a few meetings in Chile and met Percy Broughton there. So we are very excited to have them come to our meetings here now! The man of the family is getting his doctorate in forestry here at the University of Montana so they plan to be here for a while. Hopefully we'll see lots more of them.

I've only been gone from the field for 6 weeks due to special meeting travels but it seems like the children are all quite a bit larger than they were when I left so I guess they're healthy, happy, and doing well. It touched my heart to have a little 3 yr. old girl (Shelby) tell me as she was going out of meeting that we have to go and stay at her house right away. It was the sweetest "welcome back to the field" I think I've ever experienced.

We'll have Wednesday night gospel meetings up in Stevensville again like we did last fall. We're also hoping to start gospel meetings on another week night out on the east side of our field as we hear there may be some interest there. I'll keep you "posted" on that.
Take care and thanks for checking in.
